This is one of the many questions that I’ve answered on Yahoo! Answers [ official site ], as well as was rewarded me with the BEST ANSWER.
The precise question that was asked by Another Foreigner was:
Are the downloads on ebookshare.net legal in Singapore??
My answer is:
i dont see why it’s illegal though.
someone shared it and the link is published to public to be downloaded.
so if we download it, which part of the law says we download it illegally?
frankly speaking, we did not share the file. if downloading this may considered
illegal, then what about the spywares and bot cookies being downloaded to our
pc without us clicking the download button. is the law going to blame it on
us too since bots and wares are illegal materials?
if i were you, i pay less attention to is this illegal or not to download.
most important is we did not share or contribute that file illegally.
Ok… just to clarified something, I am not trying to overule the net laws or anything. I just saying it out from a thoughs I have at that moment of time. |
