Sometimes, I don’t understand free hosting forums.
Let put it into one scenario… Currently now you’ve not enough money to get a server,
so you used a free hosting forum, such as EZBoard and Forumer. When the place
is fully occupied and there is much activities, you began to wonder, “Why not
I use the money in my piggy bank and get an official one?” And so you did…
But the sad thoughts about it is, Public forum hosting don’t allow you to download
your database SQL to you. They says it’s their policy. Even if they are being
bribed you pay them for your unofficial forum database, they heck care and won’t
give it to you. Man… because of that, you have to start all over again from the
beginning with just you as the only official forum member. Isn’t that a drag?
If you wish to have an a blog, you go to blogspot or bloggers. When you want to
make it official and use Wordpress can download all the data into an XML and use
the import function.
If Blogspot allows that, why can these public forums hosting did the same? Is
it fair when you lost all your data and you can’t do a thing?
Well, I learn something today actually.
You don’t have an official one, keep that wild ambition of your aside first.
Get a hosting plan and then starts your agenda. |
