Running ‘IE6′ and ‘IE7′ together…

Recently, I’ve wrote about the good thing in using IE6. Especially for web designers such as me, I might be asking myself, what if my clients are using IE7 and what they sees is not exactly the same feels as what I saw, how do I solved that problem?

Well… although it does not seems to be a new thing for us IT Geeks, there is a way in which you can have both IE6 and IE7 on the same PC. And that software is called IE7 Standalone by Trendosoft.

The good thing about this standalone software is that I don’t need to move from one PC that have IE7 installed just for beta testing and checking. This definitely cuts half of my time just moving back and forth from one PC to another.

There is a disadvantage in using IE7 standalone. Because it’s not a so-called ‘complete’ software, some features such as Tabs, Feed reader, Active X and such remains broken links. Another which I’ve notice is that JS and SWF files won’t run too. But it won’t be a problem for me. As long as they are running on IE6, they should run too on IE7 (on the full version of IE7, that is).

Anyway, why not pay a visit at http://tredosoft.com/IE7_standalone and get your standalone now. Oh and just in-case before you having difficulties running the program, do some reading on the page first.
